I found my perfect forever home!  My new name is Lady!

Adopted Sept. 1, 2010

Kharma is a female lab cross who is 9 weeks old (as of Aug. 5).

Kharma is a sweet puppy who was rescued with her sister Kismet from a First Nation's Reserve. Kharma loves to play and has a spunky personality. She is curious, affectionate and exuberant. She is a very expressive puppy and loves to turn her head when you talk to her - like she is trying to figure out what you are saying. She is working on house training and so far that is going well. Kharma lives with other dogs, cats and a toddler in her foster home and is fine with all of them. She loves everyone she meets. Like any puppy she will require training and lots of love.

Jack is a 5 year old male brown and white tabby who was found living the life of a stray.  Thanks to a foster home, we were able to take him in!  He is now fully vetted and is looking for his forever home!

From his foster: Jack is a very loving cat, he is very vocal and likes to chat.  He loves to come up and nuzzle with his nose and likes to follow you around the house.  He would be best suited where he is the "main feline attraction".  He gets along fine with dogs but does not seem to like other cats in his territory.  He is currently living with 2 children too and he gets along with them well!

Jack is available for adoption through Grand River All-Breed Animal Rescue!  If you are interested in him, please visit our website: www.grandriverallbreedrescue.ca   or phone us at 519-650-9228.  You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com

I'm Hazel! An energetic one year old female beagle looking for a home that will appreciate me for everything I am, and everything I can be. The first year of my life didn't teach me about living in a home environment, so I still have a lot to learn. My foster family is showing me that it is okay to sleep in a crate, go to the bathroom outside, and how to walk on leash. I am having so much fun here with a big fenced yard to play in, and other dogs to race around and wrestle with. When we get tired, I love a good cuddle and nap on the couch. I get along well with everyone here - even the cat likes me! My perfect home would be one with a fully fenced yard, and patient, fun loving humans. I would be okay as an only dog, but do really enjoy playing with other dogs. I love everyone I meet, but am nervous around children. I just need some love and guidance to be a great part of your family.

Hazel is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue.  Please fill out an application at our website www.grandriverallbreedrescue.ca  or phone us at 519-650-9228.  You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com

SADLY DUCHESS TESTED POSITIVE FOR HEARTWORM.  SHE WILL BE UNDERGOING TREATMENT STARTING IMMEDIATELY.  SHE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN A FEW MONTHS.  IF YOU ARE ABLE TO DONATE TO HER TREATMENT, PLEASE CONTACT US!

Meet gorgeous Duchess!  This lovely lady found herself living in a situation that was not healthy for her.  One of our wonderful volunteers offered to take her in as a foster, so we were able to bring her into our program. (Click Here for another photo of Duchess)

Duchess is a yellow labrador mix and she is approximately 40 lbs.  She is 1 years old.  Duchess has a wonderful personality, and she gets along very well with other dogs, cats and kids!  She is in a foster home with all three, so she will be well socialized!  Duchess is also housetrained.

Duchess is the daughter to Amylee on our site. Duchess is very sweet and submissive, but is nervous of new people at first.  She would prefer a home where people are around a lot as she loves people attention. She would not do well in a home where she is left 8 hours a day every day. Duchess needs a backyard to run in and is still working on how to walk on leash as she is frightened of the road. She does better on trail walks away from traffic. Duchess would love to live with other dogs or be an only dog as long as she had the opportunity to play with other dogs as she enjoys this. She enjoys chewing on her toys, so plenty of chew toys are appreciated for Duchess. She is housetrained.
Duchess has had a hard beginning to her life and she deserves a loving and patient home who can give her lots of attention. She would do well with kids, cats or dogs.

Duchess is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue.  Please fill out an application at our website www.grandriverallbreedrescue.ca or phone us at 519-650-9228.  You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com

I found a fabulous forever home with my brother Stevie!

ID#2009-92, Adopted Aug 26, 2010

Patches and her siblings were found with their mother, Mabel in some flower beds!  Luckily for them, the flower beds belonged to a very kind lady who took them all in to keep them safe.  The kittens were born approximately June 18th, 2009.

Patches is female and is grey tabby with peach patches!  She is shorthaired.  All of the kittens are very social and are living with dogs, cats and kids. They love to play on their scratch post and wrestle with each other.

Patches is currently in a foster home with her brother Stevie and they would love to be adopted together or with other playful cats.

From Patches' foster mom: Patches is very playful. She loves to play with any time of ball, as well as paper towel rolls. She loves the bathtub and is facinated with the toilet when someone flushes it. She also really likes toilet paper. If the cupboard is left open she will get a roll and bring it down the stairs and play with it. She also loves to cuddle and be close to people. She is very sweet and affectionate.

Patches is available for adoption through Grand River All-Breed Animal Rescue!  If you are interested in her, please visit our website: www.grandriverallbreedrescue.ca or phone us at 519-650-9228.  You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com
