Jack

Jack was adopted out in 2009 but is unfortunately being returned as he has been diagnosed with diabetes. He requires insulin shots 2X a day and we are looking for a home for him that is experienced with diabetic cats or is willing to learn! He is an amazing cat who is well worth it!

Jack is a 7-8 year old declawed male black and white cutie who had a rough start in life. He had been living outside and the vet thinks he was possibly thrown from a car, based on injuries to his back paws. He had also been beaten up by other cats, and was in rough shape when we got him. A kind citizen took in this poor cat and we then took him into our program. He has been fixed up and is doing much better now!

He is a friendly cat who likes to sit on his foster mom’s lap. He gets along well with other cats, and he would prefer a home without dogs. He would be fine living in a home with kids.

Jack has a very cute squeeky meow! He loves to chat, so if you are looking for a good conversationalist, Jack is your guy!

Update on Jack, Nov. 3, 2013:

Jack is doing well with his diabetes he has his shots of 2.5 units of insulin twice a day. He does not even notice it is being given as I give it when he is eating and boy does he love his food.

He is living with several other cats all with very different personalities and he is relaxed and happy around all of them.

He loves to just lay on the window sill in the sun or lounge on the back of the couch.

He would love a home where he could get a bit more attention as he likes to be cuddled and fussed and as there are dogs here he is not keen and tends to stay in the basement with the other cats.

He would love a home where he could be part of the action.

Jack is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue.  The adoption donation is $175. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption.
