Smokey [Adopt or Foster]

Smokey is a 3 year old, neutered Neuf/St. Bernard mix. His family moved out of the country and couldn’t take him so another family stepped up to help but they have a dog that Smokey isn’t too keen on. Smokey needs to be the only dog in the house to get all the cuddles. He is a friendly boy who likes the car and water. He is housetrained and knows basic commands and walks well on leash. He needs a home with kids 10 and older, a large fenced yard and a detached home as he will bark at first when left alone. We would like him to find a family where someone is home most of the time and he isn’t left a full work day. He enjoys being around people and needs people to set up a predictable routine for him, give him regular exercise and set some boundaries. He is a fantastic dog who just needs the right home. He is currently looking for a foster or forever home so if you are interested in doing either and fit the criteria above please apply!

Smokey has been adopted!

Piper

Piper is a beautiful friendly cat. She turned a year old in April. She loves people and greets you when you come home. She is also very talkative and often has little kitten conversations. Piper is really looking for a young cat to play with. She loves to chase and play with her foster brothers. If you have a cat who would like a companion, Piper could be a good fit for your family.

Piper has been adopted!

Albert

Albert is a wonderful kitten with lots of energy. He is about 10 weeks old as of July 30th. He was rescued with 2 siblings from a full animal control where we could take them into foster care.  He loves to play and explore the world around him.  He is at ease with all the other animals in his world: dogs, cats and humans of all ages, and when you are around he will come running to see what you are up to.  He is a happy little fellow that will love to interact with his new forever home.

Albert has been adopted with his sister Katie!

Katie

Katie is a beautiful loving kitty about 10 weeks old (as of July 30th). She was rescued with her 2 brothers from the outdoors and brought to a very full animal control.  We were able to bring them into foster care where they can thrive. She would love to be adopted with her brother Albert.  She tends to be a little on the shy side but warms up quickly to those in her life.  It is so exciting to watch her explore her world and become such a well rounded gentle soul. She loves to interact with her furry friends and humans alike and when she gives you her love she is all in with her quiet purring.  She will make an excellent addition to a loving home.

Katie was adopted with her brother Albert!

Catcher

Catcher is a lovely, 2 year-old, 25kg shepard mix looking for his forever home!

Catcher was surrendered by his owners to animal control along with a female dog. His friend was adopted, but Catcher found the shelter environment very stressful and was anxious and shy with potential adopters. Now that he’s in foster care, he’s blooming, and he can’t wait to have a forever family that will watch him continue to learn and grow.

Catcher is super smart and very eager to please. He loves cookies and praise and learns new things very quickly. He’s very responsive to gentle correction. Within a day, he knew he wasnt allowed upstairs and the gate could be left open. He doesn’t resource guard, but he loves kongs full of peanut butter and squeaky toys! He can be a bit shy with people at first, especially men, but once he’s given some time to meet them, he’s very gentle and affectionate. He likes puting his head in his foster mom’s lap and having his nose rubbed. He loves TV and is endlessly curious about everything, tipping his head to the side and staring in wonder every time he hears a new noise!

Catcher is crate trained and currently sleeps and eats in his crate. Sometimes he crates himself when he’s tired but can’t quite settle. He’s currently living with two dogs, one male and one female. He was unneutered until foster care, so he hasn’t quite learned all his dog manners, but he loves his foster siblings and is learning very quickly how they like – and don’t like! – to play. He would be happy to live with a dog friend, especially one who likes to rough and tumble and do zoomies in the backyard. He is large and young, so he can get overexcited, and he’d be best in families with no kids under 14.

Catcher is still learning to walk on leash, but he’s improving every day. He currently walks on a gentle leader which makes him very manageable, but his new home would have to be dedicated to continuing his leash training. He’s excitable around birds and bunnies and shouldn’t live in a home with cats or small animals. Catcher has lots of energy outside and then is very mellow inside. He likes to sleep flat on his back with all four feet in the air!

Catcher is 100% house trained and has never had an accident indoors, even around other marking male dogs. He’s well-behaved in the car, but seems to get a little car sick and can drool excessively. He’s happy to be handled and doesn’t mind his ears, teeth, and feet being poked and prodded. He loves being brushed!

Catcher is very special boy who instantly captured the hearts of his foster family. He’s so kind and loving and trying so hard to be the best boy he can be every day. All he needs to bloom into the perfect companion is a little time and patience so he can shake off his past and start his new life!

Catcher has been adopted!

Floyd

Floyd is now up for adoption! Floyd is 2 years old and a boxer mix about 45 pounds. He is doing great in his foster home. He loves to run and play ball in the backyard so a large, fenced yard is a must for him as he really enjoys being outdoors. He is friendly with all people but does jump in excitement and go after feet when playing so kids 8 and older are recommended. We don’t yet know how he is with other animals. He does bark at dogs he sees but appears curious and friendly. We can definitely do some meet and greets to see. He needs someone who is willing to work on his basic training. He can be food motivated and is working on the basics like sit, down and come but making progress.

Floyd would prefer a home where people are home most of the time so someone who works from home would be ideal. He does get a bit anxious especially at first when people leave which is understandable considering he is a pup of the pandemic and has been moved around a few times to no fault of his own. He is a sweetheart and loves his tummy rubs and curling up on the couch for a cuddle.

Floyd has been adopted!

Linus

Linus is 10 weeks old as of July 5th.

Linus is a sweet, curious little boy that is incredibly gentle with people and other pets. He loves to play tag with the foster’s chihuahua and gives the softest pats with his paws. He is content either by being cuddled in your arms (all the while staring deep into your eyes, guaranteed will melt your heart and soul) or hopping about furniture in the house.

Linus’ siblings are also available for adoption: Teddy, Percy, and Molly.

Linus has been adopted!

Teddy

Teddy is 10 weeks old as of July 5th.

Teddy is the fluffiest of the four kittens. He loves to explore and climb high or anywhere he thinks he can reach. This has earned him the nickname of “Trouble Teddy”. He is the smallest of the boys but despite his smaller stature, can be a bit rough when wrestling with his brothers and sister. Teddy also has the loudest voice of the bunch. He will not hesitate to let you know when he needs sleep, food or water especially after a long play session around the house. Teddy does not mind being snuggled for a short time before springing back and getting into mischief.

Teddy’s siblings are also available for adoption: Linus, Percy, and Molly.

Teddy has been adopted!

Molly

Molly is 10 weeks old as of July 5th.

Merry Molly is the tiniest of her siblings and the only female in the litter. Although the smallest, she is a tough, funny little girl who wrestles her brothers (as rough as Teddy sometimes!). She is happy to be held for a moment, purring and sometimes perching on your shoulder. Her favourite things to do is hopping from one place to another and climbing high. She recently discovered that window screens are superior to the cat tree, which undeniably, gives her a better view of the world. This has been very much discouraged by her fosters, however she will take the opportunity to climb the screens when she gets any access to them. She has a very unique and prettiest black coat colour that her mama and siblings lack, with slivers of white, like salt and pepper.

Molly’s siblings are also available for adoption: Linus, Percy, and Teddy.

Molly has been adopted!

Callie

Callie and her siblings (Delilah & Oreo) were rescued from the outdoors. She is approximately 9-10 weeks old (June 25).She is a very sweet loving kitten that is really starting to come out of her shell.  She gains confidence by having others around her but is now exploring on her own.  She will often meow when she can’t find her furry or human companions.  She would be best adopted with Delilah or Oreo or into a home with other friends where she will grow and blossom.

Callie has been adopted!

Nova & Zyra

Nova and Zyra are beautifully bonded sisters, about 4 years old. They can be distinguished by their tails: Nova has a black tail, and Zyra has a white tail. These two are sweethearts with super cuddly, and super cute personalities. They are litter-trained and have never shown any aggression towards people while in their foster home. Their favourite activities are: belly rubs, window-watching, Zyra loves to play with toys, and Nova loves snacking on treats. They are currently indoor-cats and would make great house pets.

Nova and Zyra has been adopted!

Tiny Tim

My name is Tiny Tim. I am about 10 weeks old (as of Dec. 17th, 2021) I may be tiny but I have a huge heart and a lot of love to give. I was born on the streets to a feral mom and was rescued from this harsh life. The kind lady who found us feeds my mom and we are trying to bring her in too so she can get warm and not have any more litters. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I was in a much better place and haven’t looked back. I am a kind gentle soul that loves chilling with people and other animal friends. I purr to show that I love to be picked up for a cuddle. I would like to go to a home with either Harley (14 weeks old) in my foster home or to a home with other kitty friends to play with.

Tiny Tim has been adopted!.

Dash

HI! I am Dash, brother to Harley and Dash. We are about 9 weeks old (as of Nov. 13). We were rescued from someone’s backyard and happy to be indoors and warm and fed. I am a super sweet, friendly guy that is coming out of my shell more and more everyday. I love to play with my animal friends but love to get my special time together with my human companions for our cuddle time. If you are looking for some quality kitten time, look no further! I would do best in a quiet home with one of my brothers or another cat to keep me company.

Dash has been adopted!.

Ash

HI! I am Ash, brother to Harley and Dash.

Ash is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Harley

Hi I am Harley. Siblings to Dash and Ash. I am about 9 weeks old (as of Nov. 13). We were rescued in a backyard where we were born to a stray mom.  I am a handsome boy that is sure to steal your heart. I start off a little shy but gain courage from my kitten siblings and other animal playmates in my foster home. I would love to be adopted with one of my brothers. I am playful and as sweet as they come. I am sure to warm your heart.  I will do best in a quiet home with one of my siblings.

Pippa

When the foster mom met Pippa, it was obvious she was the most fearful in the litter – hissing, spitting, and scratching peoples’ hands that came too close for comfort. She loves wrestling with her siblings. We found the best way to get her used to human socialization was to isolate her in a different room away from her brother and sister. Pippa was undoubtedly unimpressed with this change as we’re sure if we understood cat speak – a lot of nasty choice words were uttered. She has come a long way and after many weeks from the patient foster mom spending time with Pippa alone, Pippa realizes that scratches on the back and under the chin are nice -especially when canned food is served. Now she is very chatty and a bit of a purr monster! When you come into her room, she is eager for pets by her terms and only when she can see your hand coming. She hates surprises. She will come to you for some scratches and will run off to play with her toys or lightly bat your hand away when she’s had enough. Pippa loves to climb high and is very good at using the scratching post. She is quite skittish so anything that is new to her must be introduced very slowly. Foster mom is working on picking Pippa up into her arms and progress has been good so far. For her vet visits, gabapentin has been very helpful as a mild sedative before traveling to appointments, along with slow, gentle handling from veterinarian staff so she does not regress back into her fearful state. She should not be restrained in a blanket or towel as these are associated fears of being caught with them. Pippa would do best with another cat in the household or with adults in the household with children 12+.  She is about 4mths old now (as of Nov. 13)

Pippa has been adopted!

Pepper & Sophie

Pepper and Sophie have been adopted together to a lovely family in Mount Forest where they will have 2 canine siblings to keep them company!
Pepper is the calico and Sophie is the brown tabby.

——————————————–

Pepper is a social butterfly with everyone including people. He is a confident little boy and is always curious about everything around him. He loves to play with his sisters and is starting to get along with the foster mom’s cats. He will tell you how eager he is for his canned food. Pepper enjoys playing tag with the foster mom’s Chihuahua. When tagged, Pepper will “surrender” by laying down and exposing his belly up, then bounces back on his feet to play again. Pepper would fit a household that has a calm and quiet dog that plays gently with kittens.

——————————————–

Sophie is a playful and active kitty. She is quickly learning that people are not so bad and that they give nice pets and yummy food. She will need a patient family that will talk softly and move slowly while approaching her as she spooks easily. She is not fond of being picked up and will run away to escape. Sophie would rather be racing around the floor, bouncing off the walls with her siblings or batting around the mice toys. Sophie has a comfort quirk – kneading her bed, purring and suckling on the blanket, mimicking the nursing motion with mum.

Sage

Sage is about 14 weeks old and ready for a forever home. She was found outside as a stray. Her foster mom has been socializing her. She loves the resident dog and is looking for a feline or playful canine to keep her company. She is still timid with new people so an adult home would be best.

Sage is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Lenny

Lenny is a four month old male who loves to snuggle. He is the definition of “floof” and has the best soft and colourful coat. He is a shy individual but is definitely coming out of his shell in his foster home. He’s very quiet, other than his rumbling purr! He enjoys being under the covers and tucked into bed. Lenny likes playing with foster family’s cats but is currently fearful of dogs. His foster family has had no issue as of yet with any clawing furniture, chewing cords, scratching, biting or any vices. Lenny will make such a great best friend for anyone who is okay with letting him get more confident and fully come out of his shell!

Lenny is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Jack

Jack is a 7-year old long haired male with huge green eyes. He can be very affectionate, quick to greet visitors and happy to climb onto your knees. He likes to play rough, but is never actually aggressive.
From his appearance he is probably part Maine Coon, but is normal in stature and only occasionally vocalizes. In fact he is a very sedate and quiet cat, who takes a passing interest in wildlife outside the window but is content to spend most of the day sleeping. He comes with a pet carrier and a large cat tree.
Jack will probably flourish in a calm and nurturing home, with sufficient stimulus and where he can gain confidence and develop a strong bond.

Jack is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Daisy & Shadow

Daisy and Shadow are siblings found as strays and are approximately 16 weeks old.

Shadow is a bouncy and curious boy. At first, he will appear timid, especially when he sees something new, but will quickly warm up and realize that it is not so scary. He is an absolute purr monster. When he locks eyes with you, he purrs instantly even when he’s not being petted. He eats dry kitten kibble and will gobble up his wet food every time as if it were the first meal he’s ever received, then he will also try and steal his sister’s share. He is not choosy and loves to play with all kinds of toys.  He uses his litter box with zero issues. He can make a big mess ensuring that smelly business is 100% covered, but a litter mat will fix that problem! Shadow has a particular way of drinking and likes to test the water bowl with his paw to make sure it’s up to his standards before he laps it up (while making a mess – a food tray is very helpful!). He uses the scratching post and loves to be up on high places. He likes to pounce on and wrestle with his sister.  We would love for him to be adopted with his sister but may consider a home with another young cat for him to play with. Do not apply just for him if you have no other pets. He needs a friend.

Daisy is a lovely, sweet girl that has started to tell foster mom everything about her day with a loud voice. She loves to be held and cuddled and will purr forever in your arms. She is an avid escape artist and is quick to calculate her next move when she sees your hand on the door handle. She is always curious to see where you are going in the house and demands to see what is on the other side of a closed door. As she is easily distracted, she eats kibble and wet food slower than her brother. Foster mom simply brings her back to the food bowl and reminds her that there is still wet food left which she happily digs in – until she gets distracted again and so the cycle continues. Her litter box usage is excellent. She loves using the cat tree and climbing high on it. She loves all kinds of toys as well. Daisy has taken a liking to the Chihuahua, following him around and playing tag. Daisy is a skilled acrobat and her favourite moves to show off are her crazy somersaults. We would love for Daisy to be adopted with her brother Shadow but will consider a home with other friendly pets. Do not apply just for her if you have no other cats/dogs in the home. A pair is always better than one. It is less work as they can occupy each other and keep each other company when you are not home.

Daisy and Shadow are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Cheeka

These three siblings were rescued by a kind lady who has been helping the cats at a rural property. Unfortunately, their mother was killed by a dog so they came into rescue at the age of about 4 weeks. They were dehydrated and cold so they needed medical attention as soon as they were found.  All three have been fighting eye infections but these seem to be clearing up.
Thankfully they have made a full recovery and are now happy and thriving. They are now almost 8 weeks old.

Frankie (black and white female) is the leader of the bunch. She is curious and bold and not really afraid of anything. She is also the loudest when she needs attention. She was a little rough in her play when she first arrived but now plays nicely and loves to take on the bigger fosters in the home. We would like for her to be adopted with one of her siblings if possible or to a home that has a young cat she can model and play with.

Cheeka (full tabby female) She is the quietest of the group.  She is reserved and is usually in tow of one of the others.  She is actually the most cuddly with the humans and will snuggle right up in your neck to sleep. Just like Frankie and Theo; we would like for her to be adopted with one of her siblings or go to a home that has a young cat.

Theo (white/tabby male) Theo gets along with everyone.  He has some bold moments and plays well with everyone whether his siblings or the big cats in the home.  He is not really a fan of being held by the humans but will snuggle up with the other animals. Just like Frankie and Cheeka we would like Theo to be adopted with one of his siblings or go to a home that has a young cat.

All three of these guys have been around a large dog and are fine if the dog is respectful.

Cheeka, Theo, and Frankie are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Ozzy

Ozzy has been a great foster, and would make an amazing companion. She is beautiful all around! She has a very friendly personality, and loves human company. She warms up to people quickly. She loves to cuddle, and will lay on your lap! She loves to snuggle her head closer. She loves to be pet, but be careful not to touch certain areas she doesn’t like to be touched (she may attempt to scratch, but no worries – she’s declawed).

Ozzy is 11 years old, but still very active and outgoing. To Ozzy, age is just a number! Don’t let the photo fool you, she is a long haired cat that was recently shaved due to matts she had when she came to us.  Her owner passed away and her adult children were going to euthanize her as she was having an issue with the litter box in their home but turns out it was due to being overweight and matted and possibly stressed.  She was surrendered to our vet clinic and we were able to save her. Her bloodwork was all clear and since being in her foster home she has had no issues. She is on a good diet, her matts are gone and she is a happy girl.  She hopes to find her forever home soon! She would like to be the only cat in an adult home. If you have some room in your heart and some love to give, Ozzy is your girl!

Ozzy is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Pierre

They call me Pierre. I am about three years old. I lost my family and no one claimed me. I was outside wandering for a  while when I landed on the front step of a nice foster lady. She started giving me cool water and food which I really appreciated. It was really hot out! She took me in and and we became close friends very quickly. I love lots of pets and scratches and very much enjoy cuddling. There are others cats and dogs in the house and we were instant friends. My foster mom says I am a good boy because I always use my litter box. I love the wet and dry food that I get every day and I really like to curl up in the cat bed. It’s very cozy. Because my family is lost and no one is able to find them, I have been put up for adoption to give me another chance with a real family. If you want to meet me and hang out, contact Grand River Rescue at www.grand River rescue.ca.

Pierre is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Mango

Meet Mango!

Mango was found on the centre line of a busy country road in the middle of a thunderstorm. He was wet, cold, dirty and terrified and weighed a mere 200 grams.  Over the past four weeks, Mango has grown and developed into a curious, fun loving kitten who loves to cuddle.  He is now about 8 weeks old ( as of July 29th) He loves to chase his ball and will playfully run and wrestle with his foster family.  Mango is generally a quiet kitty and sleeps well through the night.  He uses his litter box reliably and will even head to a different floor of the house to use his box at only 8 weeks old!

Looking at Mango now you would never know of his rough start.  He has a beautiful orange coat with the most unique striping on his back and big curious eyes.  He is affectionate and loves to cuddle with and groom his foster family snuggling up closely under their necks. Mango is the perfect combination of sweet and spunky!  If you would like to give Mango a forever home please apply!

Mango is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Luna & Poppy

This is Luna and Poppy. They are two of the trio rescued from outdoors. Luna is a little shy like his brother, Poppy, but is still playful and cuddly. They would like to be adopted together or with their sibling Piper, or to a home with another young cat.

Luna and Poppy are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Piper

This is Piper. She is about 12 weeks old (as of July 6, 2021). Piper was found with her 2 siblings born to a feral mom and some kind people rescued the trio and called the rescue. The kittens were socialized and have seen a vet. Piper is friendly and playful. She is not a bit shy and greets everyone with lots of purring. She has beautiful black fur with a gray undercoat that shows off her tabby markings. She would do well in a home with other animals or kids and would like another playful kitty in the home or to be adopted with one of her brothers – Luna and Poppy.

Piper is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Teddy & Gizmo

They are a brother / sister pair. Very sweet 8 year old cats. Both are fixed and are good for having their nails trimmed.  The male is Teddy. Sweetest cuddle bug and would make some senior or even child very happy. The female is Gizmo and while a little unsure of new things, she does enjoy her cuddles- when she wants them. They both liked to be brushed. Litter trained. Teddy will probably hide for a couple days in his new home but will be the love of his new persons life. Teddy and Gizmo are bonded and must be adopted together. Their adoption fee is reduced to make that happen. They are an owner surrender due to a move out of province. Please apply if interested.

Teddy and Gizmo are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Theo, and Frankie are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Ivan & Snickers

Meet Ivan and Snickers. This approximately 8 week old (as of June 18) brother and sister duo are best friends and must be adopted together. In the beginning Snickers was the most outgoing and rambunctious of the two, but as time has progressed, Ivan has learned to trust and joins right in. Both kittens enjoy being handled and will reward you with lots of purring and snuggles. They both love to eat their wet food and will now eat dry as well. They use the litter box consistently. Both kittens love to play – they will chase anything that moves including the dogs’ tails! They love it when people are near. They like to use them as their own personal jungle gym. Both kittens are already using a scratching post and love to climb the cat tree. They are quiet kittens except at meal time – then they will let you know that the bowl is empty! After a good long play and wrestle with each other, you will find them curled up together in their cat bed. They are currently living with adult cats and two respectful dogs with no issues. Both kittens will be vetted and have received their first set of shots and deworming before adoption and the spay and microchip is included in the adoption fee.

Ivan and Snickers are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Star

Star would only need a tiara to be the complete princess! She is a slightly bossy 8-year old long haired female with beautiful green eyes who expects the best of everything. From her appearance she is probably part Maine Coon, but is normal in stature. Star’s enthusiasm for the good life implies that she needs to watch her calories. A previous diagnosis of mild kidney issues means that her food is specialized.

She comes with a pet carrier and a large cat tree. She is moderately social and vocal, mainly getting friendly as mealtimes approach. But she does enjoy sitting on warm laps and legs and being petted.
Star would probably be happy in any home where she is the centre of attention and her princess status is recognized.

Star has been adopted!

Dora

Dora is 9-10 years old and needs a foster home urgently. Her owner has passed away suddenly and she needs a new home. She is friendly and curious of new people. Not sure about other pets as she has always been a single cat. She has always lived with a senior. She is an indoor, healthy cat and her front paws are declawed.

Willy is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Willy

Willy is a friendly, 3 year old indoor cat. He was surrendered because his owner passed away. He came from a home that had multiple cats and dogs but always hid. He is currently an only animal and comes out quite often to visit his foster mom. He is still very shy and easily spooked. He likes to be pet and LOVES to play with toys. Like most cats he comes to you when he wants affection on his terms.

He is good with his litter and is a clean cat. Willy likes hard food. He sleeps on the bottom of the bed at night. He is not declawed but he doesn’t scratch on furniture. He would like a quiet adult home where he can feel safe and secure. Other calm cats may be fine.

Emi

Emi is 8 years old; she could benefit to lose some weight-she is fairly sedentary and is an indoor only cat.

She loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed. She loves attention and to have someone pet her. She loves belly rubs. She would love to curl up on someone’s lap all day long. She loves to be brushed, doesn’t mind having her nails cut and she’s not aggressive. She uses her litter box without any issue.

She’s not picky with food, she eats dry food and loves wet food too.
She does experience stress induced seizures from time to time. She’s not on medication for this because there’s no pattern to them. They are completely random and so we usually try to keep her environment very calm. She likes quiet. Her future owner would need to be comfortable with seeing an animal have a seizure. It’s important to remain calm and allow them to come out of it and then of course give them love and affection afterwards.

Emi is an amazing cat who would love a quiet home. She is not a fan of dogs and hasn’t lived with other cats in many years but may be able to again with the right match.

Emi is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Aurora & Sakura

Aurora (white, grey and black) She is active, playful and loving. She is super affectionate, loves to cuddle up next to you. She enjoys being pet and receiving back scratches. She likes to sleep under the blankets in bed, but will sleep on her own as well.

Sakura (brown and black) She is very shy at first, but warms up to anyone with time. One of the sweetest cats I have met as she requires nothing but love. She is not a fan of dogs. She is also super affectionate and will never stop you from endless pets and scratches. Sakura was once a homeles cat, when she was rescued she had a very bad ear infection which left her with a permanent head tilt (it is super cute though).

These girls are a bonded couple. They MUST go together, as they love each other’s company. They enjoy playing, cuddling, and watching birds & squirrels together. They are both very affectionate, that includes tons of head buts and rubbing against your legs. They are around age 6 now. They are spayed, declawed (front). They are being surrendered due to a child’s allergy in the home.

Aurora and Sakura are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Talie

Name: Talie
Sex: Male
Breed: Jindo
Age: Approx. 5 years
Location: Wellington Region (Outside of Guelph, ON)
Weight: Approx. 40 lbs
Vaccinations: UTD + Microchipped + Neutered
Tested with: Dogs & Children
Home requirements: Children 7+, Dogs 35 lbs +, fenced backyard, Adopter with experience / willing to work with trainer.

Talie is a very special boy. He was rescued from extreme conditions and is having trouble adjusting to being a happy dog. In the three years with his foster, he has come a long way. However, he still needs a lot of patience and experience to bring him into the dog he could be. Talie will always be a shy boy, so if you are looking for a dog that will turn into an outgoing, cuddly family pet then Talie is not the one for you. He is extremely nervous and will take a lot of time, patience and work to adjust to a new home and grow from that point.

He is good with other dogs but can please rough and needs to work on his manners. At this point, he would be better suited to a house with other medium to large dogs. He has not been cat tested. The foster family that Talie has been living with has a child that was only 10 when they took him in and he has interacted with young children. He is very calm with them. However, it is best for him to be in a home with children 7+.

Talie loves to play outside. Especially with other dogs, that is where you see his personality shine, but he will need work on his basic skills: come, sit, stay and walking on a leash all need to be taught. He is a very playful boy when outside and loves to chase a ball. Inside, he is a very easy keeper. He does not have food aggression and spend most of his time inside the crate.

Talie is available for adoption together through Grand River All Breed rescue. The adoption donation is $400. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Tye & Civic

Tye is a sweet boy who is about 1.5 years old.

Tye came into our rescue back in August. He was caught on a rural property by a kind lady. He was emaciated and was suffering from a very bad lice infestation.

He had the typical ailments of a kitty that has been living outdoors with sneezing.

As the months have gone on Tye has put on some much-needed weight but he is still small in stature.

He is very loving and will come up and give head butts and kisses. He loves to snuggle right up on your neck. His latest trick is to sleep with his head on his foster mom’s head.

He is very playful and has learned to get along well with the resident cat and dog. He will make a game of just about anything, including chasing the dog’s tail. He gets along well with the resident cat and they have learned to play nicely together. He also doesn’t mind the dog and would do well with a respectful dog. He loves the action of a busy household so would be suited to a home with children preferably older than 10 as sometimes he will bite during play.

Tye continues to have sneezing episodes and still has a runny nose and often times he still has mucous that comes out when he sneezes. He sounds like he is constantly stuffed up but he doesn’t let that slow him down.

We have tried many different medications to try and resolve this for him and we have also visited an internist veterinarian. Tye would require a very expensive exploratory surgery to figure out what may be the underlying cause of the congestion and our rescue just doesn’t have the funds to do this for him. The vet’s best guess is feline herpes at this point which is something cats can live long normal lives with.

We are hoping to find a home for him that will accept him and give him the forever home he needs.

Tye is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Bella

Bella is a ~ 9 year old female spayed DSH. While a bit shy at first, Bella is quick to warm up to people and absolutely loves cuddles + attention.

Bella is seeking a quiet home. She will likely do best in a home without young kids. Bella is currently living in a foster home with dogs and seems to tolerate them well. She does not seem to like the presence of other cats.

Bella is a diabetic, which means she requires twice daily insulin injections and needs to be fed a special veterinary prescribed diet.

Bella is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $200 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Ozzy

Approximately two years old, this handsome short-haired ginger tabby with a white waistcoat and belly was rescued from a pound in Oxford County. He has been named Ozzy, short for the Mohawk name Ohserase, and is a hugely affectionate and good-natured cat. He craves affection and would probably settle well in a busy home with lots of stimulation. He has not been with other pets during fostering, so it’s not known how he might interact with other animals.

Ozzy is very vocal, sometimes practices ‘kneading’ and always follows you round the house. Morning is marked by him standing on your chest to remind you of feeding time!

Ozzy went through vaccination during fostering without problems and is booked for neutering on February 5th.

Ozzy is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Alaska & Georgia

Alaska is approximately 8 weeks old.  She is a shy kitten that has adapted well to living inside with her mom and three siblings.  She eats and drinks well, uses the litter box and loves to play with all of the toys.  She would do well with her sister Georgia or her Mom-Virginia as they are all on the quiet side and enjoy each other’s company.  She is startled by unfamiliar noises and will run and hide in the cat tree – waiting for her litter mates to be the brave ones and check it out for her.

Alaska & Georgia are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Arctic & Dakota

Dakota is a white and tabby male kitten about 8 weeks of age. He is the only male in a litter of four. He is a true big brother as he is the bravest of the litter. He loves to play with anything that moves especially balls and feather toys. Dakota loves his sisters especially Nevada (tabby). They often play and wrestle together. Dakota eats very well and uses the litter box consistently. He is a very handsome boy looking for his forever home.

Arctic and Dakota are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Uma

This beautiful girl is approximately 4 years old, needs a fur-ever home! Her eyes are a gorgeous green, and her coat is a mix of tabby and dilute calico; she is a stunner!

Uma was on the streets for a couple years, “porch surfing” around the neighbourhood. She was finally taken in and is now adjusting to home life. She is completely litterbox trained.

Uma is sweet, with a little bit of spice! She chirps to greet you when you walk in the room, likes to be near you and will rub up against you, but she enjoys only minimal petting. She isn’t afraid to tell you off when she’s had enough, so you have to be mindful of her limits. She seems to get more comfortable in time though, as you earn her trust. She absolutely loves when you play with her using wand toys, and does a great “wiggle bum and pounce”!

Uma is an independent lady! She would make a great companion for someone who works long hours, as she isn’t considered needy and is quite content to sleep by the window most of the day. When you return home, she will be sure to greet you, give you a little bit of love, and just enjoy being in your presence.

So far Uma isn’t fond of the other pets in her foster home. We feel she would be best suited in an 18+ home, as the only pet.We are looking for an indoor home for her.

Uma is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Summer

Summer is a brown tabby, approximately two years old, and already had two litters before she was rescued and spayed by Grand River All Breed Rescue! Now at her foster home, Summer likes to play with all sorts of toys and zoomies around the house like she owns the place. She likes to sleep in many elevated spaces, but her favourite spot is in front of the window, watching the birds and squirrels. She is a very gentle cat who likes pats all over, even on her belly! Her disposition is unknown with other pets or children.

Summer is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Charlie

Charlie is a 2 year old neutered male. He is very affectionate, loves to cuddle. He loves to play & be brushed. He loves his cat tower while looking out the window. He will meow when he wants something. He follows his foster mom everywhere even to the bathroom, he’s like a little shadow. He is an indoor cat only, he doesn’t like children & we are uncertain about other animals. He’s shy at first but then wants all the loving he can get. When he’s told it’s bedtime he races to the bedroom for a last play session, loves to tackle things moving under blankets. Charlie is very clean & litter box trained.

Charlie would be a good fit for a home quiet home but someone who will give lots of cuddles and play time.  He is shy with new people and will not come out for anyone but his person. He was an owner surrender due to small children in the home and Charlie not being a fan.

Charlie is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Julien

Julien is a beautiful large brown tabby who was found hanging around a farm this summer.  The person who found him assumed he was feral and he spent the summer outside with other cats on her property.  As the weather got cold, Julien started trying to be near her and wanted to be indoors.  Upon bringing him inside she found he was snuggly and had been neutered.  He then came into foster care with GRAB and has been staying with a family for the last few weeks.

Julien is approximately 4 years old and is loves to be pet almost all the time.  He is very serious and plays very little.  He is good in the house – doesn’t climb on counters or in the Christmas tree and doesn’t scratch furniture. He meows for pets and snuggles and comes when we call him.  He eats dry food and drinks water and is very picky about his wet food.  He is neutered and has had his first set of shots.  We recommend that he go to a quiet home where he can have lots of attention and with no young kids.  He may be ok with other pets in the house, but we have not tested that out to know for sure.  He will grab and try to bite from time to time but is mostly just a big snuggle bug who needs lots of love and affection.

Julien is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

They have adjusted very quickly to the other feline and canine residents.

Callie is very outgoing and is quite the flirt with everyone. She does not like to be left alone and seeks companionship of either the humans or the other cats.

She loves to play and jump around chasing toys.

Callie loves to give kisses when she is in the mood.

Timmie is a little more reserved but is coming around nicely. He seeks the companionship of his sister or one of the other resident cats. He loves to chase feet under the blankets.

Hamilton

Hamilton aka Ham, aka Hammy Vanderbilt the 3rd

Hammy is a very sweet but shy, blind male rat. He is looking for some friends to cuddle with and play. He loves chewing all things wood and his favourite foods are cheerios and baby carrots. When he first arrived, he was overweight and had some skin problems. With a proper rat food, and fresh veg and water, he is slimming down, and his skin problems have completely cleared up. He is getting more comfortable being handled each day and comes to greet his foster mom every morning for treats and scratches.

Hamilton is neutered and would do best with other neutered male rats or with female rats. He will need slow introductions and patience as he settles into a new home. Hammy is friendly and interested in his foster brother, Teddy, but sadly for him, Teddy is not in the market for a permanent brother!

Fred & Barney

Fred is a shy and endearing grey tabby with four white paws and a white chest. Despite the fact that he is both larger and stronger than any of his littermates, he has a gentle and soft approach when playing with them.

Fred is bonded with his foster brother Barney and adores cuddling with him. Although curious about the shaggy dog of the house, he keeps his distance—as he does with the two adult cats.

He is quick to play and enjoys exploring. He responds well to a soft gentle approach and quickly expresses his appreciation to any affection with a loud purr.

Barney is a shy boy like his foster brother Fred. He has striking classic tabby markings along with a white chest and paws. Like Fred, he is a gentle soul and has a soft play style with his litter mates.

Barney is very curious about the adult cats in the house and, if they allow, tries to snuggle with them. He has become used to the large shaggy dog and ignores him during play.

Barney is bonded with Fred and is frequently found snuggled with him. He loves affection and warm laps and lets it be known with a loud purr.

Fred and Barney are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Betty & Wilma

Wilma is charming and tiny—she is a warm grey tabby with a brick coloured nose. She is an affectionate talker and will let you know when she is happy with a loud purr—and when she is hungry with an “I am soooo hungry” yeowl.

Although she can play up a storm with her fellow foster kittens, she has a calm demeanor and settles quickly. She is curious about both the big shaggy dog and respectful of the two household adult cats.

She is bonded with her litter mate Betty and loves to snuggle with her but will also seek out a warm lap and affectionate hand and will purr her appreciation. They are about 10 weeks old (Aug. 29)

Betty is tiny and charming—she is a soft grey tabby with a darker coloured nose than her litter mate Wilma. She is an adventurer and was the first to quickly venture forth from the “safe room” and explore the space beyond. Like her sister Wilma, she is a talker and purrs loudly when cuddled—and will tell you when she is hungry or lonely.

She is bonded with Wilma and loves snuggling with her, using any part her sister as a pillow. Betty is curious about the large household dog and is respectful of the two adult cats.

Sunny windowsills are one of Betty’s favourite nap locations in addition to any warm and welcoming lap.

Betty and Wilma are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Rusty is a feisty ginger tabby who approaches anything he does with energy, enthusiasm and singled mindedness.

No half measures for this focused kitty—he goes full tilt in whatever he does, whether that’s landing in a water bucket or leaping off the edge of a precipice with no thought of consequences. Nothing keeps him down—after a crazy landing, he gives himself a shake and is off to the next adventure.

Rusty loves snuggling anywhere he can and fills the room with his purr. After whirlwind play sessions, Rusty can be found curled up with his foster brother Storm.

Storm is a quirky, sleek, long legged white kitten with dark grey patches, He is curious, independent and does the craziest grass hopper side jumps ever seen.

Once a day he likes to chase his small toy mouse on a string and invites other family members to play with him. The other times during the day, he likes to enjoy some quiet time and will either watch out of the window or hide somewhere.

At night he likes to be close to his family in the same room, sometimes even on the same bed. Dimitri would fit in most households, but the best fit would probably be a family with children who could pet him but still allow him for many hours of quiet time. He is fully litter box trained. He has lived with 4 other cats and a dog previously. He was surrendered due to a crisis in the home.  He is an indoor only cat.

Dimitri is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. Dexter knows sit, ball and hand. He loves to chase and bring back the ball and will do it over and over. He is good in the house when left and is very calm.

He loves playing with toys especially his kong. He is very food motivated.  Dexter would love a home with a fenced yard where he can play ball and with an active family who will enjoy walking him.  He pulls a little on leash but with the right harness he will walk fine.

He previously lived with a cat we are told and is good with other dogs but likes to be the boss. He might enjoy being the only dog. He sometimes can be nervous of new people and may bark when feeling uneasy. We feel a home with kids 10 and up will be best.

Dexter is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue.  The adoption donation is $400. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Greycie & Gypsy

These two kittens were found on June 23rd in a construction yard when they were about 8 weeks old and rescued by some kind people.

Greycie and Gypsy have slowly adapted to humans and indoor life. They spend their awake time chasing and wrestling with each other. Their favourite toy is a crinkle ball and they will even play fetch with it sometimes.

They will let you pick them up when they are very sleepy but can be skittish and act timid if you go to pick them up. Greycie will now curl up on the sofa and Gypsy will let you pick her up and she will sleep on your chest and nuzzle your neck. They groom each other and will groom their humans sometimes too.  They are very bonded to each other and need to be adopted out together to a quiet adult home where they can thrive and learn to trust their people.

Greycie and Gypsy are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. She came into rescue with Henry and Winston and was found on the same rural property by a kind citizen. Tabitha is extremely shy with humans.  She has gotten a little more comfortable with human touch but is still scared.   She enjoys the company of other cats including the resident cats in the foster home. She loves to play and play fight with her friends.

Tabitha will need a family that understands that it will take her some time to get comfortable and she will also require another friendly cat to be able to build her confidence and show her that humans are good.

Tabitha is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. Only applicants with other cats will be considered and children older than 6. The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Hudson, Hicks & Newt

These three babies lost their mom when they were barely five weeks and a good Samaritan brought them to the rescue. They are eight weeks as of July 8th. They did a great job weaning early and they all eat tons of wet and dry food! They use the litter box (with a few little pee accidents) and are getting great at navigating the world. Their mother was feral, but these kittens are all love! All three love the house dog. The house cat is a bit shy, but the kittens are interested and young enough that they’d bond with another friendly cat easily.

Hudson is the black one. He’s the biggest – by a lot! – and is a total mama’s boy. He needs lots of hugs and kisses and more often than not, wants to sleep in his foster mom’s arms. He’s very playful and the most outgoing. To hear him purr, all you need to do is pick him up!

Newt is the soft, grey tabby. She’s the fluffiest, with thick, plush fur. She’s all play, all the time, and loves beating up her brothers, even though she weighs the least! Newt loves a cuddle too, but is less demanding and more likely to sleep on the chair above her foster mom’s head than in her lap. Newt is gorgeous and sweet!

Hicks is a little bit behind his siblings, developmentally. He was the last to perk up his ears and the slowest to hit every milestone. He keeps up during play time, though! He still likes to pounce and chase and wrestle with his brother and sister. He sometimes sleeps apart from the others. He loves curling up by his foster mom’s knee or just conking out randomly on the floor! Hicks might have a little catch up to do, but socially he’s just as sweet and loving and will make a great pet.

Any pair would be happy to go together, but Newt and Hudson are most likely to play and sleep together. They would be delighted to all three go together!

Hudson, Newt, and Hicks are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Percy & Piper

Meet Percy (grey tabby) and Piper (white with grey markings) about 8-9 weeks of age as of July 5th. These bonded brothers love to wrestle and play together.  They roll and tumble and jump.

Percy loves to be pet and scratched when he is settling down or resting.  But is not interested in any of that when it is playtime.   Piper is more snuggly and sometimes curls up on our laps for visits.

These guys were so timid and shy when we first met them but they have come a long way! They love belly rubs and being scratched under the chin.
They are good at using the litter box, eating dry/wet food and drinking water. They love playing in boxes and tubes and whatever you may leave lying around. They are a loving duo who would be a great addition to a home willing to spend lots of time with them.

Percy and Piper are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Cirrus is a sweet natured grey tabby with touches of white. She is relaxed, confident and curious. She enjoys playing with her peers and tends to seek out the human in the house. She is always the first to venture forth from the “safe” room. She is close to her sister Spotify and carefully grooms her. She is equally likely to snuggle with her fellow foster kittens as she is to seek out a cosy spot of her own. Cirrus is very curious about the large household dog and has been seen to touch noses with it. She and her sister Spotify have also been seen playing swat with the dog’s tail.

Spotify is a elegant looking grey tabby with spots on her belly. She is lively, intelligent, sociable and has excellent pouncing skills. She enjoys snuggling with her humans and is swift to pounce, roll and play with her foster playmates. She is particularly close to her sister Cirrus. Although she is still a little wary she getting used to the large dog and two adult cats who live in her foster house.

Spotify & Cirrus are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. Harry & Loki

Harry is a spritely and playful ginger tabby. When he purrs, which he does a lot because he loves being cuddled as much as he likes playing, he does so with his entire body. Harry puts his full energy into playing and can be very active. He loves wrestling with Loki, his foster sister who is the only one who can match his energy. He is not too sure about the household dog yet and watches to household cats warily.

Loki is a impish black and tan tabby who can move and pounce like the wind. Although she is tiny she makes up for her size with her whirling energy as she plays and does acrobatics with her foster playmates. Loki is still a little shy with humans but is learning to appreciate a good snuggle. She enjoys napping with her foster sibling in between exploring any and all nooks and crannies to be found. Loki is particularly with her litter mate Harry and the two are well matched in both wrestling bouts and their love of naps.

Harry & Loki are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Ross & Monika

Monika: I’m almost 22 weeks old, healthy, have short black hair and I love long afternoon naps! I usually like to snuggle up beside my brother Ross. Right from the beginning I allowed my humans to scratch the top of my head. Now I love being scratched behind the ears, which is when I purr the most, but like a good back and tail scratch too! I have really funny bursts of energy a couple times a day, when I like to chase after the balls or other toys we have, but my favourite thing to do is play with feathers tied to the end of a stick with my human. Or even just a long piece of rope my human will drag along the floor! I enjoy the company of my humans and like to sniff and play with them, but I don’t enjoy being held for too long. I’m ok if you pick me up for a few scratches on the head but then I liked to be put back down again please. If you continue to help me overcome this, I can be the perfect kitty for you! I eat dry food, love wet food and drink water all really well! I also have not had a single accident outside the litter box Which makes me proud because I didn’t even know what the heck that thing was when my humans rescued me from living outside for the first 15 weeks of my life! If you have room for me and my brother, along with patients and knowledge of farel kittens, we will love you furever!

Ross: Hey there! I’m Ross, Monika’s brother. I know we don’t look anything alike, you know me, with my puffy, super soft, black/grey fur… I’m really cute right! But she is my sister and I love her to pieces. She goes out and checks things out first then I quickly join her! When my humans rescued me, I was very scared! I stayed close by my Momma until she left us at 20 weeks old. Now I’m trying really really hard to be super sweet to my humans. I love love love being scratched behind the ears, which makes me just purr like crazy, and cuddling up next to sis for our long naps! I absolutely do not like being picked up and might even hiss if you try, but I’m getting much better because my human works with me every day to try and fix this. I will need continued work with this and I will also need your patience with me. I might hiss when you come in the room or surprise me from my nap but if you hold out your hand, I will rub up against it and start purring in no time! If my sister is sitting with my human, you can bet I’m right there trying to steal all the love and I also try to steal all the yummy treats, but my human is pretty good at making sure she gets enough lol. I eat dry food, wet food and drink water. I also am proud of myself for not having any accidents outside the litter box!!! My cat mom taught us well. Derby and Chui

Meet Derby (the lighter one) and Chui (the darker one). They are brothers from the group of 10 kittens that we took in from a farm and ready to find their forever home together.  They are very bonded and we will not be separating them.  Derby is more energetic and brave and ready to explore everywhere. Chui, he is more tentative and timid than Derby. They are both good at using the litterbox, both comfortable with me touching their paws (though neither actually likes it), both drink a good amount of water and seemed to have now learned not to put their paws in the water dish.  They are comfortable being handled and love to cuddle with each other and play.  They have had their first shots and deworming and are ready for adoption!  If interested in them as a wonderful pair please apply.

Oliver

All of the kittens started off a bit shy and wary of us but very quickly turned into snuggle bugs. Now as soon as I walk into the room they will all run over, climb onto my lap and pass out in a big pile.  They all snuggle and play well together, and any pair would do well if adopted out in twos.

They struggled a bit with the litter box at first, but since we took the mattress (their favourite pee spot) out of the room, they’re much better and there is just the odd accident.

Oliver loves people. The second I walk in he’s always the first to run over and claim his spot on my lap, where he immediately passes out and starts purring. He was also the first to venture out of the cat carriers when we brought them home.

Oliver’s siblings are also available and he’d love to be adopted along with one more of them! Flynn, Ariel, Aurora, and Mowgli.

Aurora has bursts of pure adrenaline and will run around the room. When she snuggles, being on your lap isn’t good enough, and she will climb up your chest onto your shoulders and bury herself in your hair and purr like a jackhammer. She’s such a sweetheart.

Aurora’s siblings are also available and she’d love to be adopted along with one more of them! Flynn, Mowgli, Ariel, and Oliver.

Ariel is an extreme girl in the best way. Whether she is running headlong around the room, wrestling with her siblings or demanding human snuggles, she is in it 100%. She can be hyper and has a big personality.

Ariel’s siblings are also available and she’d love to be adopted along with one more of them! Flynn, Mowgli, Aurora, and Oliver.

Mowgli is snuggly and playful, and fairly brave. He was the first one to try to make friends with my cat. He’s more in the middle/consistent in terms of the litter’s personalities.

Mowgli’s siblings are also available and he’d love to be adopted along with one more of them! Flynn, Ariel, Aurora, and Oliver.

Flynn is so sweet. I wouldn’t call him timid, but he is definitely the most mellow and independent of the bunch. He’s happy playing by himself in a corner while the other four are playing together, but he also loves attention and snuggles, though it’s a bit more difficult to get a purr out of him, and his siblings are often the ones provoking him and not the other way around.

Flynn’s siblings are also available and he’d love to be adopted along with one more of them! Mowgli, Ariel, Aurora, and Oliver.
