Annie & Charlie

Annie and Charlie are sisters (approximately 7mths old as of January) that were rescued from an outdoor situation.  Annie is the more outgoing of the two, definitely a lap cat who loves to play.  She will be the first to explore everything and is less shy than Charlie.  She loves to play with string or string on a stick with some small object attached to the end of the string. If you really get her going, she will do flips in the air and even backward somersaults. One of Annie’s favourite pastimes is to sit in the window and watch birds flit back and forth to our bird feeders. They are quite entranced by them.

Charlie is much more cautious than Annie, and tends to be less visible during the day, but sleeps on the master bed at night and welcomes pets and playing with cat toys (the ones involving string on on a long stick are her favourite, as well as chasing the laser) once she knows you are a safe person.  They both tend to lean more towards softer speech and slower movements generally so a house with kids is not likely going to be a good fit.  They enjoy “play” fighting with each other as well as snuggling up and grooming each other when it’s nap time. They are both quite bonded with one another and we recommend adoption as a pair.

Annie and Charlie are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Honey

Meet Honey! She found a foster home and is now looking for her furever home! This sweet girl who was rescued from a kill shelter in Quebec is looking for a  permanent home. She is very affectionate with her humans and makes the cutest noises when she is happy. We think she would like to be an only cat. She is a year and half old and an indoor cat. She is a beautiful grey with peach markings and so soft. She seems to have lived with a dog. She is not fond of other cats.

Honey is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $250 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Licorice & Swirl

Meet some little kittens born to a feral mom that showed up on one of our volunteer’s properties. They are 12 weeks old as of Oct. 22.  Licorice is the male, black kitten, and Swirl is the black and white feamel kitten. They are very bonded and would do best if adopted together.

Licorice and Swirl are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $325 per kitten. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Percy

Percy is 10 weeks old as of July 5th.

Percy is a calm, quiet boy who can be a little shy with new environments, people and sometimes toys too. He was the most attached to mama out of his siblings and does not mind being held by people, all the while purring his heart out.  Percy is a lovable boy and behaves as crazy as his other siblings. Percy learned a lot backstage from brothers Teddy and Linus, who were quick to push him out of his shell. He is now a superstar at being a social butterfly! He enjoys running around, playing and getting into trouble!

Percy’s siblings are also available for adoption: Linus, Teddy, and Molly.

Percy is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $325 per kitten. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Dahlia

Dahlia is the mama of the four kittens. She is approximately 1 to 2 years old. She came terrified, unsure how to behave around people but that changed when she learned she was getting the help she needed and her sweet personality bloomed. She has a lovely voice ranging from soft meows, chirps, and trills to let you know she is very happy. Dahlia yearns for attention and loves to weave around your legs, asking for pets on her head and along her back. She is most content when all four feet are on a solid surface.

Although Dahlia is not fond of being held or snuggled, she may come to accept in the future that these things are nice too! Dahlia is very good at using her litter box! In fact, she does such a good job at covering her mess that it is recommended that she have a large or covered litter box as she tends to kick litter further than she needs to. Dahlia usually minds her own business and is happy to sleep in a quiet corner away from other pets, so should there be other pets in her new home, they should be introduced slowly and with absolute patience.

Dahlia’s kittens are also available for adoption: Teddy, Linus, Percy, and Molly.

Each kitten is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $250 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Shiloh

This sweet, 2 year old, momma loves attention and to be in your company. She’s starting to learn how awesome life can be without babies as she starts to play with toys and adventure around her foster’s house. We’re confident that this sweet girl was previously a house cat, but we think may have had some unfortunate experiences with people in the past. She is comfortable around women and respectful children, but would require any male family members to take a slow, understanding approach to gaining her trust. She is great with other cats as she has offered no issues with her foster’s three cats. She will make an amazing companion to a slower household, ideally a single female but she is learning to trust males who know that she needs time to accept them and adjust.

Shiloh is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $250 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Chloe & Colby

Chloe (calico/tabby) and Colby (orange tabby)

These siblings were born approximately June 2/21.

Chloe and Colby are very sweet kittens. They were rescued from an outdoor situation where they were probably born to an outdoor stray and the resident who found them called for some help to rescue them. They are still very shy of people in their foster home but will enjoy pets while eating. It may take some time for their new family to gain their trust but we feel in time they will settle down.

They will come and eat close to the humans and they do enjoy the company of the resident cat. They are getting used to the dog slowly.

They will definitely need a patient home most likely a quiet home would be best for these two. Please apply if interested in this pair. They would probably love a quiet home with another calm cat to show them the ropes.

Chloe and Colby is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $250 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Max

Update: Max has recently been diagnosed with intestinal cancer and so will be keeping him in our program for now to see how he responds to medication. Any donations towards his care would be appreciated.

Update: Max has responded well to his medication and is now eating/drinking and back to himself. If someone is willing to give him a forever home knowing that he does have cancer and not sure how much time he has we would love for him to find a forever home that can give him a good quality of life to the end.

Max – a beautiful 6-year-old neutered, male cat with gorgeous blue eyes and a black heart on his nose. His colourings are tan, white and black. Max’s original owner passed away so he was taken in by a close neighbour who took wonderful care of him. However, Max was not a fan of her original cat and she was not able to keep him at her house.

He came into a foster home with Grand River All Breed 6 weeks ago and is truly a joy. Max stays close by to his humans most of the time and can be very chatty. He must be placed in a home where he is the only pet as we know he is not friendly at all with other cats, although he is very loving with his human family. We also recommend that his forever home have lots of patience at the beginning as it takes him several days to adjust to new surroundings. He loves to be scratched on his head and under his chin and will sit with his humans on his terms.

Max eats dry and wet food and drinks water from a large bowl as he doesn’t like when his whiskers touch the sides of his dishes and he uses his litter box. He has toys that he plays with once he gets comfortable and will make a wonderful pet for a loving family. We recommend an adult home or home without young kids as he is shy at first and has never lived with children.

Max is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $250 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Virginia

Virginia is adjusting to life in a home.  She is shy and nervous but is very food motivated.  The vet estimates that she is approximately 1-3 years of age.  Virginia had a litter of kittens that have been adopted and is now looking for her forever home.  Virginia enjoys both wet and dry food and loves her treats!  She is litter box trained and keeps herself well groomed and clean.  Virginia will take a couple of weeks to become settled in her new environment and will require an owner with patience to allow her to become comfortable and secure before reaching out to her.  Because of this, we are recommending a quiet home with no young children or other animals.  Virginia is up to date on all of her shots and has recently been spayed.

Virginia is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $250 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Fuzzy

Fuzzy has been with us a very long time. She was a feral cat that we rescued from a colony. She is 13 years old now. She has adjusted to indoor life well. She has come along very well in her foster home and loves being pet and will just purr and purr while sitting on the couch beside her foster mom. She doesn’t like to be picked up but will allow her foster mom to pet her on her own terms. Fuzzy gets along with cats and dogs. She would prefer a home with another cat so we will be only looking at applications that have other cats for her forever home.

Fuzzy is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue.  The adoption donation is $200. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.
