Benny

Benny is a sweetheart! At approximately two years old, Benny has a good amount of playful energy and likes to chase after balls and springs. He is sweet and affectionate once he has warmed up to people, including older children.

Benny is sensitive to loud noises and quick movements, which make him run and hide, as he came from an environment where he was being picked on and attacked by other cats. Benny would do best in a home with a family who will be calm and patient with him while he figures out that things aren’t scary.

Once he has had a chance to settle and explore at his pace, Benny’s sweet personality really comes out! He loves to be pet and stroked, and he will make biscuits on people, blankets, or even in the air! He is curious, but cautious, and likes to watch birds and squirrels out the windows. Benny is easy to handle, and is okay with having his nails clipped and fur brushed. He doesn’t seem to mind being picked up and handled, though he will hide when he’s had enough attention.

Benny likes to snuggle, and has a gentle, constant purr around people when he’s comfortable. His voice is quiet and sweet, and he will often respond to “Hi Benny!” with a meow.

Benny is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Echo

Meet Echo. A mixed breed puppy 11mths old as of Jan.2026. She is a bit small right now, currently weighing about 16 kg (35lbs) and has the most beautiful markings. She will probably only grow to approx 18 – 22kg (40 or 50lbs).

She is a bit shy and cautious at first, but once she gets to know you (and of course any treats you want to give her), she really comes out of her shell. Very food motivated. Working on keeping her calm at breakfast and dinner, she tends to run around like she has the zoomies and jump and down like a jumping bean. Training her to not jump when preparing meals and to sit and wait for bowl to be placed down before she can eat.

She has been crate-trained and has no problem going into it at night or when you need to run errands and can’t take her with you. Her house training is coming along great. There were a few accidents, but we are overcoming that and maybe will train her to use a bell as she just goes to the door and waits…and if you aren’t paying attention and she waits too long for you to notice…..well, then accidents happen.

She loves her all of her toys, especially the squeaky ones. Had a great laugh as she tried to horde them all and put them all on the couch so she could cuddle and chew on them at her leisure. Echo loves attention and loves to cuddle with her people. She wants to be with them as much as she possibly can. She is not yet a fan of car rides, but it’s coming along. Once she is in, she lies down and is quite content to not see the world go whizzing by.

Echo loves snow, and to be able to run and play in it, especially if you make a track and she can zoom around it. Not a huge fan of walks in the snow and cold but will play in it off-leash no problem.

We can see she has the potential to get along with dogs as she gets along great with the resident dog, but she is extremely cautious, at the moment, of meeting any unknown dogs on leash out on walks.

Echo would love a quiet home with a fenced yard and people with patience and willing to continue her training.

Echo is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $499 per dog All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Toopy

Toopy and Binoo were born February 2025

Toopy is a female (white/tabby with brown eyes) and Binoo is a male (cream and grey with blue eyes). They are siblings and have always been indoor cats. They were an accidental litter and the owner reached out for help to find them a home. We took them into our foster home where they have adapted easily. Both cats will eagerly explore new places. They love to play with humans and their toys and each other. They also like to be held and be pet. They would love to be adopted together (slight adoption discount for both) or to a home with another playful cat ideally. The have had their first vet visit and have had vaccines and deworming. Spay/neuter and microchipping is included in their adoption fee.

A little more about Toopy:
– she still has a lot of kitten left in her: just look at that cute little face and try not to lose yourself in those beautiful eyes!
– Toopy is a very chatty cat: she loves to have conversations and will call out to be sure you are near
– Toopy is very good at entertaining herself, but would love to have a dog or another cat that she can play and wrestle with
– Toopy is very faithful to her favourite humans: she will get up and follow them wherever they go in the house. She does not like to be locked out or in rooms, as she prefers to be near her people
– she is a little shy and timid when new people come into the house, but is curious and will come closer once they sit down

The resident cat is not very amused to have them here, but they heed her warnings and are not afraid to be close to her.

Toopy and Binoo are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Junie

This is Junie. She is about four years old (as of January, 2025), and is a friendly cat. She is black and white marking on her face that look like little tear drops and a white ring around her black tail. She was found pregnant, living in the backyard of a friend of the rescue. She had 4 beautiful kittens (including Juno and Skye). She was a very good mom and now it’s her turn to find a loving home. She is very friendly and loves to play. She is still a kitten at heart. She gets along with her foster siblings but tends to prefer the company of the boys. She would be happiest in a home with another cat and lots of people to give her the attention she deserves.

Junie is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Skye & Juno

Skye and Juno were adopted by their foster mom in 2026!

Skye and Juno are two little boys, born on February 23, 2023. Even though they are almost 2 years old they are still very much kittens. They love to run and chase each other up and down the stairs. They do not like to be picked up and carried around but in the evening they always come to sit beside me on the couch. They love being scratched and flop to the floor as soon as I put my hand out. If I ignore them, they let me know they are there with their funny meow. They have a beautiful soft, shiny coat and are identical except for Skye’s little white patch under his chin. They are a little shy when meeting new people but will come around with patience and encouragement.

Skye and Juno are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $325 per kitten. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application.
