Uma

This beautiful girl is approximately 4 years old, needs a fur-ever home! Her eyes are a gorgeous green, and her coat is a mix of tabby and dilute calico; she is a stunner!

Uma was on the streets for a couple years, “porch surfing” around the neighbourhood. She was finally taken in and is now adjusting to home life. She is completely litterbox trained.

Uma is sweet, with a little bit of spice! She chirps to greet you when you walk in the room, likes to be near you and will rub up against you, but she enjoys only minimal petting. She isn’t afraid to tell you off when she’s had enough, so you have to be mindful of her limits. She seems to get more comfortable in time though, as you earn her trust. She absolutely loves when you play with her using wand toys, and does a great “wiggle bum and pounce”!

Uma is an independent lady! She would make a great companion for someone who works long hours, as she isn’t considered needy and is quite content to sleep by the window most of the day. When you return home, she will be sure to greet you, give you a little bit of love, and just enjoy being in your presence.

So far Uma isn’t fond of the other pets in her foster home. We feel she would be best suited in an 18+ home, as the only pet.We are looking for an indoor home for her.

Uma is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Virginia

Virginia is adjusting to life in a home.  She is shy and nervous but is very food motivated.  The vet estimates that she is approximately 1-3 years of age.  Virginia had a litter of kittens that have been adopted and is now looking for her forever home.  Virginia enjoys both wet and dry food and loves her treats!  She is litter box trained and keeps herself well groomed and clean.  Virginia will take a couple of weeks to become settled in her new environment and will require an owner with patience to allow her to become comfortable and secure before reaching out to her.  Because of this, we are recommending a quiet home with no young children or other animals.  Virginia is up to date on all of her shots and has recently been spayed.

Virginia waited 2 years for her perfect forever home with a kind lady in Kitchener willing to give her a quiet loving home!.

Summer

Summer is a brown tabby, approximately two years old, and already had two litters before she was rescued and spayed by Grand River All Breed Rescue! Now at her foster home, Summer likes to play with all sorts of toys and zoomies around the house like she owns the place. She likes to sleep in many elevated spaces, but her favourite spot is in front of the window, watching the birds and squirrels. She is a very gentle cat who likes pats all over, even on her belly! Her disposition is unknown with other pets or children.

Charlie

Charlie is a 2 year old neutered male. He is very affectionate, loves to cuddle. He loves to play & be brushed. He loves his cat tower while looking out the window. He will meow when he wants something. He follows his foster mom everywhere even to the bathroom, he’s like a little shadow. He is an indoor cat only, he doesn’t like children & we are uncertain about other animals. He’s shy at first but then wants all the loving he can get. When he’s told it’s bedtime he races to the bedroom for a last play session, loves to tackle things moving under blankets. Charlie is very clean & litter box trained.

Charlie would be a good fit for a home quiet home but someone who will give lots of cuddles and play time.  He is shy with new people and will not come out for anyone but his person. He was an owner surrender due to small children in the home and Charlie not being a fan.

Julien

Julien is a beautiful large brown tabby who was found hanging around a farm this summer.  The person who found him assumed he was feral and he spent the summer outside with other cats on her property.  As the weather got cold, Julien started trying to be near her and wanted to be indoors.  Upon bringing him inside she found he was snuggly and had been neutered.  He then came into foster care with GRAB and has been staying with a family for the last few weeks.

Julien is approximately 4 years old and is loves to be pet almost all the time.  He is very serious and plays very little.  He is good in the house – doesn’t climb on counters or in the Christmas tree and doesn’t scratch furniture. He meows for pets and snuggles and comes when we call him.  He eats dry food and drinks water and is very picky about his wet food.  He is neutered and has had his first set of shots.  We recommend that he go to a quiet home where he can have lots of attention and with no young kids.  He may be ok with other pets in the house, but we have not tested that out to know for sure.  He will grab and try to bite from time to time but is mostly just a big snuggle bug who needs lots of love and affection.

Julien is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application.
