Greycie & Gypsy

These two kittens were found on June 23rd in a construction yard when they were about 8 weeks old and rescued by some kind people.

Greycie and Gypsy have slowly adapted to humans and indoor life. They spend their awake time chasing and wrestling with each other. Their favourite toy is a crinkle ball and they will even play fetch with it sometimes.

They will let you pick them up when they are very sleepy but can be skittish and act timid if you go to pick them up. Greycie will now curl up on the sofa and Gypsy will let you pick her up and she will sleep on your chest and nuzzle your neck. They groom each other and will groom their humans sometimes too.  They are very bonded to each other and need to be adopted out together to a quiet adult home where they can thrive and learn to trust their people.

Greycie and Gypsy are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Tabitha

Meet Tabitha!   Tabitha was born around April 30, 2020 which makes her about 11 weeks old.

She came into rescue with Henry and Winston and was found on the same rural property by a kind citizen. Tabitha is extremely shy with humans.  She has gotten a little more comfortable with human touch but is still scared.   She enjoys the company of other cats including the resident cats in the foster home. She loves to play and play fight with her friends.

Tabitha will need a family that understands that it will take her some time to get comfortable and she will also require another friendly cat to be able to build her confidence and show her that humans are good.

Tabitha is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. Only applicants with other cats will be considered and children older than 6. The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Henry & Winston

Henry Henry and Winston and very bonded brothers and they are about 10 weeks old (July 11) They were found by a kind citizen who had them come into rescue.   Henry is by far the most outgoing of the two brothers and he is the snuggle bug. He is not afraid of anyone or anything.  He looks for adventure and loves to sleep in his human’s arms especially near their neck. Henry is happy go lucky and loves everyone including humans and other animals.

Winston Winston is extremely bonded to Henry.  When he is alone he calls out for someone to come rescue him. Winston is more timid but has made great strides in getting comfortable with humans and he is also great with the other animals in his foster home.
The two sweethearts must be adopted together and they will make a very dynamic duo for a lucky family.

Henry and Winston are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Hudson, Hicks & Newt

These three babies lost their mom when they were barely five weeks and a good Samaritan brought them to the rescue. They are eight weeks as of July 8th. They did a great job weaning early and they all eat tons of wet and dry food! They use the litter box (with a few little pee accidents) and are getting great at navigating the world. Their mother was feral, but these kittens are all love! All three love the house dog. The house cat is a bit shy, but the kittens are interested and young enough that they’d bond with another friendly cat easily.

Hudson is the black one. He’s the biggest – by a lot! – and is a total mama’s boy. He needs lots of hugs and kisses and more often than not, wants to sleep in his foster mom’s arms. He’s very playful and the most outgoing. To hear him purr, all you need to do is pick him up!

Newt is the soft, grey tabby. She’s the fluffiest, with thick, plush fur. She’s all play, all the time, and loves beating up her brothers, even though she weighs the least! Newt loves a cuddle too, but is less demanding and more likely to sleep on the chair above her foster mom’s head than in her lap. Newt is gorgeous and sweet!

Hicks is a little bit behind his siblings, developmentally. He was the last to perk up his ears and the slowest to hit every milestone. He keeps up during play time, though! He still likes to pounce and chase and wrestle with his brother and sister. He sometimes sleeps apart from the others. He loves curling up by his foster mom’s knee or just conking out randomly on the floor! Hicks might have a little catch up to do, but socially he’s just as sweet and loving and will make a great pet.

Any pair would be happy to go together, but Newt and Hudson are most likely to play and sleep together. They would be delighted to all three go together!

Hudson, Newt, and Hicks are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Percy & Piper

Meet Percy (grey tabby) and Piper (white with grey markings) about 8-9 weeks of age as of July 5th. These bonded brothers love to wrestle and play together.  They roll and tumble and jump.

Percy loves to be pet and scratched when he is settling down or resting.  But is not interested in any of that when it is playtime.   Piper is more snuggly and sometimes curls up on our laps for visits.

These guys were so timid and shy when we first met them but they have come a long way! They love belly rubs and being scratched under the chin.
They are good at using the litter box, eating dry/wet food and drinking water. They love playing in boxes and tubes and whatever you may leave lying around. They are a loving duo who would be a great addition to a home willing to spend lots of time with them.

Percy and Piper are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Spotify & Cirrus

Cirrus is a sweet natured grey tabby with touches of white. She is relaxed, confident and curious. She enjoys playing with her peers and tends to seek out the human in the house. She is always the first to venture forth from the “safe” room. She is close to her sister Spotify and carefully grooms her. She is equally likely to snuggle with her fellow foster kittens as she is to seek out a cosy spot of her own. Cirrus is very curious about the large household dog and has been seen to touch noses with it. She and her sister Spotify have also been seen playing swat with the dog’s tail.

Spotify is a elegant looking grey tabby with spots on her belly. She is lively, intelligent, sociable and has excellent pouncing skills. She enjoys snuggling with her humans and is swift to pounce, roll and play with her foster playmates. She is particularly close to her sister Cirrus. Although she is still a little wary she getting used to the large dog and two adult cats who live in her foster house.

Spotify & Cirrus are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Harry & Loki

Harry is a spritely and playful ginger tabby. When he purrs, which he does a lot because he loves being cuddled as much as he likes playing, he does so with his entire body. Harry puts his full energy into playing and can be very active. He loves wrestling with Loki, his foster sister who is the only one who can match his energy. He is not too sure about the household dog yet and watches to household cats warily.

Loki is a impish black and tan tabby who can move and pounce like the wind. Although she is tiny she makes up for her size with her whirling energy as she plays and does acrobatics with her foster playmates. Loki is still a little shy with humans but is learning to appreciate a good snuggle. She enjoys napping with her foster sibling in between exploring any and all nooks and crannies to be found. Loki is particularly with her litter mate Harry and the two are well matched in both wrestling bouts and their love of naps.

Harry & Loki are available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue.  The adoption donation is $175 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Ross & Monika

Monika: I’m almost 22 weeks old, healthy, have short black hair and I love long afternoon naps! I usually like to snuggle up beside my brother Ross. Right from the beginning I allowed my humans to scratch the top of my head. Now I love being scratched behind the ears, which is when I purr the most, but like a good back and tail scratch too! I have really funny bursts of energy a couple times a day, when I like to chase after the balls or other toys we have, but my favourite thing to do is play with feathers tied to the end of a stick with my human. Or even just a long piece of rope my human will drag along the floor! I enjoy the company of my humans and like to sniff and play with them, but I don’t enjoy being held for too long. I’m ok if you pick me up for a few scratches on the head but then I liked to be put back down again please. If you continue to help me overcome this, I can be the perfect kitty for you! I eat dry food, love wet food and drink water all really well! I also have not had a single accident outside the litter box Which makes me proud because I didn’t even know what the heck that thing was when my humans rescued me from living outside for the first 15 weeks of my life! If you have room for me and my brother, along with patients and knowledge of farel kittens, we will love you furever!

Ross: Hey there! I’m Ross, Monika’s brother. I know we don’t look anything alike, you know me, with my puffy, super soft, black/grey fur… I’m really cute right! But she is my sister and I love her to pieces. She goes out and checks things out first then I quickly join her! When my humans rescued me, I was very scared! I stayed close by my Momma until she left us at 20 weeks old. Now I’m trying really really hard to be super sweet to my humans. I love love love being scratched behind the ears, which makes me just purr like crazy, and cuddling up next to sis for our long naps! I absolutely do not like being picked up and might even hiss if you try, but I’m getting much better because my human works with me every day to try and fix this. I will need continued work with this and I will also need your patience with me. I might hiss when you come in the room or surprise me from my nap but if you hold out your hand, I will rub up against it and start purring in no time! If my sister is sitting with my human, you can bet I’m right there trying to steal all the love and I also try to steal all the yummy treats, but my human is pretty good at making sure she gets enough lol. I eat dry food, wet food and drink water. I also am proud of myself for not having any accidents outside the litter box!!! My cat mom taught us well. If you let me and my sister into your homes, we will be happy on our own, and getting to know and love you!
